Louie

Hi there! My name is Louie, it’s very nice to meet you! I was recently found wandering around in the suburbs, sniffing things, talking to beagles through fences – you know, just hanging out. I didn’t have any tags on and I was pretty skinny, but since I can’t speak Human, I can’t tell anyone my story. It’s not that exciting anyway!

Now I’m living the good life with my foster mom and my foster pug brother! The vet thinks I am about two years old and in really good health! They did have to snip my manhood off but it’s okay. I slept through the whole thing. I’m a good sleeper. My foster mom says I am the cutest thing she’s ever seen (don’t worry, she never says this in earshot of my foster pug brother) and that I am super sweet. Aw, shucks!

Now, let’s get to the really good stuff! Things I love (in no particular order): stretching out on my back, sitting on laps, being carried, playing with my foster pug brother, exploring the fenced-in yard at my foster home, rope toys, fleece blankets, and giving kisses. I don’t even mind getting a bath! I just stand there like a little puggie statue. I’m a little boy so for now I’m getting lots of food and treats, which is A-OK with me! Once I get to a healthy pug weight though, then supposedly I’ll have to start watching my figure because us puggies are known for getting too pudgy!

I’m basically housebroken but my foster mom says we have to tell you this (I’m so embarrassed): since I just got my manhood taken recently, I still mark my territory in the house. I know, I know, I am ashamed. Hopefully that will go away, but in the mean time, I come with my very own belly bands! Those are little cloth bands with a pad inside, that Velcro around my waist and catch me if I try to go. But I have not had any accidents of the #2 variety in the house, so I think that’s pretty good!

I’m sort of a loud breather and sometimes it takes me a little while to get my breathing under control if I’m really excited. The vet has checked me out though and says I’m fine! I just need to keep my walks on the short side and definitely not be outside if it’s too hot. I also need someone who knows how loud pug breathing & snoring can be. My foster mom says that she loves that sound though! She can’t even go to sleep until me and my foster pug brother are both sawing logs! (And speaking of sawing logs – I think my foster pug brother is ready for me to find a new home…since I stole his spot in bed! HA HA HA!!!)

I’m okay with being in a crate, but I really want to sleep in bed with the humans at night if possible. I love people! I just curl up and snooze the night away.

So if you think I might be the pug for you, please fill out an application on SEPRA’s website and write my name on it – Louie! I’m really excited about getting my own forever home. I’d love to meet you (and maybe even give you some kisses)!
