Remy is a sweet, calm, loving, smart, obedient, house-trained and submissive 8 year old male. Yes, he has a near perfect personality. Even though he is getting up there in the years, he still loves (and needs) daily walks and play time. He gets along with all people, dogs, and is not bothered by cats or squirrels. He has been in foster care twice (through no fault of his own), so it is imperative that the family who adopts him will make a lifelong commit to care for him.

Remy struggles with chronic allergies, which manifests itself by ear infections and skin irritations. It will be necessary for the new owner to observe him for signs of flare-ups and take him to the vet as needed. It is not unusual for him need 4-5 vet visits per year. Due to his allergies, he will also need to stay on a more expensive hypoallergenic food, including treats, for the rest of his life. Right now, his allergies are well controlled and his skin is almost perfect. However, you need to know what his current care requirements are: daily nose wrinkle care, daily paw care, daily underarm care, and daily ear care (all of this takes 15 min.) Eventually, he’ll only require weekly care, but it WILL be a permanent need. When his allergies flare up his care will become more involved. A home with minimal carpet, dust, and mold issues will be best for Remy.
