Taylor

Hey Everyone! Have you ever wanted to combine what you love in a boy pug, and what you love in a girl pug, into one completely adorable pug package? Well..............................that would be ME !

My name is Taylor, and I was taken to the humane society by someone, as a foundling, and my old owner never came for me. One of the volunteers contacted SEPRA when they noticed that I did not exactly have straight forward "girl parts". She used the word Hermaphrodite. I dont exactly know what that means, but I am guessing it means I am the "best of both worlds".

So, I had surgery a week later to spay/neuter me, and it turns out that I was truly half boy/half girl. I look like a girl on the outside and have a vulva, but I have a small penis that barely sticks out of it. On the inside they found I had a cervix and two uterine horns, but instead of ovaries, I had testicles attached. I also had vas deferens leading from the testicles down to the inguinal rings. Pretty amazing!! So, I technically got spayed and neutered. But, as for the little something extra sticking out, the doctors said it is too involved in my urinary tract system to remove any of it, so it will possibly always stick out a little. They did think that as my testosterone levels dropped, it may shrink a little. I had my foster mom take a picture to show you what it looks like. Not bad, and who looks at that end anyway?

Well, enough of the technical mumbo-jumbo. Here is the important stuff.....

I look and act like a teenager. Probably 8-10 months old. I have the playfulness of the pup, but am old enough that I am potty trained, harness and leash trained, love chewies and toys, and am VERY friendly to all who meet me. My foster mom has a full house, with cats and dogs, and I have not met one that I do not like.

I am petite, around 16 pounds, and have clean ears, perfect eyes, and no hip or knee issues. I am also heartworm negative, and have a beautiful shiny black coat with a little patch of white on my chest, and on one foot. I did have some hookworms and whipworms, so I am having two rounds of dewormer to clear that up. Other than that, I am in perfect health.

My foster mom has grown really attached to me, and has gone back and forth on keeping me, but she knows she needs to give someone else the chance to have such a great little pug. One of her favorite things that I do, is this cute little howl to get her attention. I will howl when I am happy, or if another pug is getting all of her attention, or if it is time to fill my food bowl. It makes her giggle every time.

I sure hope someone is able to look past the confusion of whether I am technically a boy or a girl, and adopt me. If you think I am the right one for you, please put my name on your application today!

Thanks,
Your new friend - Taylor
